At Impactful Market, we are on a mission to end poverty through dignified jobs - giving a hand-up to break the cycle of poverty. We've been working with our local artisan partners in Haiti since 2013 - curating collections for conscious consumers at affordable prices with contemporary designs. We believe there is transformative power in a business model that cares about the people & the planet. We practice fair trade principles & sustainable sourcing, such as recycling and upcycling in our production process for waste reduction. Proceeds are donated to our nonprofit, Impactful Missions to end poverty through job creation, education, and empowerment.
From the beginning, we've been giving back through different initiatives to a small village called Fond Doux, Haiti, including a scholarship program, pregnancy clinic, feeding program, and more. We even held the first graduation ever in our village in 2016! We recently launched our own Impactful Artisan Workshop employing mothers from this village. On September 11th, 2023, we officially opened our preschool called Impact International Institute of Haiti, where we feed children twice a day, provide quality education, and create a place of refuge at a time of great unrest in Haiti.
