August Effects aims to make people feel good through products that contribute to the greater good. Our products are all hand-made in Bali, creating jobs and sustainable income for local people. Through partnerships with Bali non-profits, August Effects aims to create positive change by giving back to the community. Our hope is that August Effects’ products will not only embody the love and warmth of Bali, but also bring education and opportunity to the communities that inspire them.

The Bali Children Foundation (BCF) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide an educational pathway for disadvantaged Balinese children – a journey leading to growth and long term sustainability.

One of BCF’s key objectives is to provide community education in remote areas of Indonesia. BCF's outreach programs work with children starting as young two years old to develop functional English language and computer skills. Through these educational programs, BCF's goal is for their students to graduate high school, go on to attend University, and obtain well paying jobs to benefit themselves, their families, and their communities.
