Our clutch has two zippered pockets, a metal clasp for closure, and a wristlet strap. It opens to lay flat, allowing you to tuck in larger items like your cell phone. When open, our leather patch logo is revealed. The smaller pocket is perfect for cards and storing other small items.ย

When open and laying flat the clutch is 9.5โ x 9.5โ. When closed and ready to carry it is 6.5โ tall by 9.5โ wide. The largest zipper pocket is 8โ wide, the smaller zipper pocket is 6โ wide.

Each bag includes a special hang tag featuring the story and signature of the woman who created it. This bag represents so much to her - and to us. We hope that as you carry it you remember you also carry our story with you.
Beautiful bags that help rescue girls and empower women! New Hope Girls is a non-profit based in the Dominican Republic that fights trafficking, abuse, and exploitation. In our workshop, we employ women artisans and pay a living wage in a safe, supportive and healthy environment.
It is not just economic empowerment - it is transformational employment. Our fabric sourcing model is sustainable, as we source remnant/deadstock fabric and use it for our beautiful bags! The fabric is upholstery grade - resulting in luxurious finishes and textures.
The workshop serves as one of our core prevention strategies because when mothers are able to earn a living wage in a safe environment the risk for exploitation is greatly reduced. Proceeds from our bag sales are used to support our work rescuing young girls and walking with them in healing and identity restoration. Our average age at intake is 10 years old - it is our honor to walk with them along their healing journey.
