Our Mini Crossbody is the perfect grab-and-go version of our everyday favorite—designed for light packing, easy movement, and hands-free days on the go. It opens to reveal two interior pockets and a zippered compartment to keep essentials secure, while the fully adjustable strap lets you customize the drop to your ideal length. Design Details Flap closure with clasp, front pocket, zippered interior lined pocket, and fully lined adjustable straps. Each bag is finished with our leather-stamped New Hope Girls logo. Dimensions The Mini Crossbody is 6” wide x 8” tall. Care Instructions Turn inside out and wash on a gentle cycle. Air dry and use a warm iron if needed.
Each New Hope Girls bag is crafted by an artisan living and working in the Dominican Republic. Through the work of her hands, she is providing for her family with dignity and developing leadership skills.
Each bag includes a special hang tag featuring the story and signature of the woman who created it. This bag represents so much to her - and to us. We hope that as you carry it you remember you also carry our story with you.
Beautiful bags that help rescue girls and empower women! New Hope Girls is a non-profit based in the Dominican Republic that fights trafficking, abuse, and exploitation. In our workshop, we employ women artisans and pay a living wage in a safe, supportive and healthy environment.
It is not just economic empowerment - it is transformational employment. Our fabric sourcing model is sustainable, as we source remnant/deadstock fabric and use it for our beautiful bags! The fabric is upholstery grade - resulting in luxurious finishes and textures.
The workshop serves as one of our core prevention strategies because when mother’s are able to earn a living wage in a safe environment the risk for exploitation is greatly reduced. Proceeds from our bag sales are used to support our work rescuing young girls and walking with them in healing and identity restoration. Our average age at intake is 10 years old - it is our honor to walk with them along their healing journey.
