The 2020 Guide to Ethical + Sustainable Swimwear

Are you ready to hit the beach in an ethical suit? We've gathered together some of our favorite sustainable choices for swim season 2020. Our list includes a variety of price points, styles, and selections for men, women, and children. Each one was chosen for that company's emphasis on sustainable materials and fair production practices.

We are impressed by the number of companies who are choosing to use "real" women in their marketing, and portraying them in their natural beauty rather than retouching and filtering the photos. This is a great advance from having to treat women as sexual objects to sell products. We vote yes for female dignity!

Company Spotlight

Hülya Swim is dedicated to creating the highest quality swimwear products made from eco-friendly, sustainable and recycled materials including ghost nets, carpet fibers, and tulle, which are all found in the ocean.

We love that their suits make a statement both is style and for a better earth. One of our faves is in this summery combo- the Merkai Top and highwaisted Ramé Bottom. Comfort and fashion!

Check out the new Barrier Collection from Hülya Swim. Not only are their pieces eco-friendly, but their bathing suit fabric is curated from recycled ocean debris. Take a look at the Epiphany Bikini, a suit made with great attention to detail.

SEAY is an italian brand proposing only certified fabrics made from ocean debris. Men is 100%, Women 65%. Graphics are made by Eduardo Bolioli, famous painter based in Hawaii.
Here at Soseaty Collective sustainability is a part of who we are, it’s our way of life. It’s not good marketing. We are proud to do things differently.
Once you buy a SEAY item you have the possibility to give back to us an old piece of your guardrobe and you’ll get an immediate discount for this.
If the garment is still usable we extend its life by RE-selling it as vintage clothes or RE-using it by donating to people in indigent conditions.
If it is not good to be worn again, we RE-generate it through our production plants and transform it in a brand new SEAY items.
Buy sustainable product, give a second life to you clothe and make this world better
